Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the feasibility of water hyacinth grinder horizontal type. This research was conducted in December 2019 to January 2020 at the Compost House of the Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya South Sumatra. Data collection in this study was carried out by descriptive method. The observed parameters were engine cost analysis and financial analysis. The results showed that the investment of Break Even Point (BEP), Net Present Value (NPV), and net B/C ratio on combination machine of water hyacinth grinder horizontal type unit was financially feasible to be applied. Break Even Point (BEP) was 163,188.92 kg for production volume and Rp. 620.35/kg for production price. Net Present Value (NPV) was Rp. 43,748,873 and net B/C ratio was 1.096.
