Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about the influence of Connecting, Reflecting, Organizing, Extending (CORE) model to the critical thinking skills of learners on the circulatory system material grade XI SHS 1 Indralaya. The research method used is Quasi Experimental with Noquivalent Control Group Design research design. Determination of the research sample is class XI IPA 4 as an experimental class and class XI IPA 1 as a control class using Simple Random Sampling.The method of data collection is done by tests in the form of 20 multiple choice questions, observation of student activities and student question naire responses. Critical thinking skills in this study include several indicators, elementary clarification, basic support, inference, advanced clarification, strategy and tactics. The results of data analysis the average final test of the experimental class was 71.61 (good) and the control class was 44.99 (less). Indicatorsbasic supportobtain the highest performance based on the results of normalization of gain while the indicators draw the lowest conclusions in the experimental class. Based on the statistical test using SPSS22 implementation of guided inquiry model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills the material of circulatory system of class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya.
