Abstract

One of the few parts found in the eye that can be used as a reference for detecting a disease suffered by humans is the retina, namely the blood vessels. Retinal artery extraction is the first step to diagnose eye disease, which is diabetic retinopathy which results in blindness. Manual extraction is a long task and requires training, many automated methods have been proposed. In this final project, using Bradley Threshold and Median Filter. In the process of making masks, then through the process of Green, Red, and Blue Channel, then enhanced by using CLAHE, Bradley Threshold as an extraction process and the results are corrected with Median Filter. Using Red Channel produces an accuracy of 97.45, using Green Channel produces an accuracy of 97.62, and Blue Channel produces an accuracy of 97.65 on STARE. Using Red Channel produces 96.55 accuracy, using Green Channel produces 96.75 accuracy, and Blue Channel produces 96.66 accuracy on DRIVE.
