Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine students' anxiety about English lessons , determine the intensity of anxiety in students, and understand the profile of self-efficacy in students. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. This study uses descriptive techniques so that data obtained from questionnaires issued to elementary. The population in this study were all students of class X and XI awarding 173 students.The sample in this study was 173 student trials. The results of data analysis from the research obtained by this study showed that 173 secondary school students were 173 of them This study shows the percentage of the average questionnaire results of respondents who think that the most often occur students' feelings are threatened because of self-incapacity (42%) and the lowest occurring Avoiding teachers of English subjects (12%). After categorizing using the mean and standard deviation obtained 5 students with high self-efficacy categories and a percentage of 3%, 149 students who experienced anxiety in English self-efficacy categories and 86% percentages and 19 students who experienced English anxiety low efficacy category with 11% percentag.
