Abstract

The purpose of this study was designed to: (1) develop interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash on the theme of 6th heat and transfer of the fifth grade elementary school in Palembang, (2) find out the validity of the learning media developed, (3) find out the practicality of the developed media and (4) know the effectiveness of the products produced. This research is a development research that refers to the Alessi & Trollip development model which includes three stages, namely: Planning, design, and development. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and test questions. Questionnaire is used in the validation of material experts and media experts, the teacher as an education practitioner and the assessment of student effectiveness, while the test questions are used in the assessment of student learning outcomes. The results of the development of instructional media are known that: (1) developed media products are suitable for use. (2) the feasibility of the product based on the validation of material experts is (85.4 %%) with the criteria "very feasible" to be used, while based on the validation of the media expert is (88.3%) including the criteria "very feasible" to be used. (3) the results of the practicality test conducted by the teacher namely (100%) including the criteria of "very feasible", the results of retirement according to small groups of 5 students get a value of (100%) including the criteria of "very feasible" and for attractiveness for large groups students get grades (97.2). (4) The effectiveness of the learning media produced gets a value of (0.65) with the criteria of "medium".
