Abstract

The piping system is something that is very important in today's industrial development. The piping system in general can be divided into 2, namely piping and pipeline. although both use pipes, these two piping systems clearly have differences. A pipe is a cylindrical object that serves as a transportation route to move fluid from one place to another. fluid in the form of gas or liquid, hot or cold, or pressurized. The piping system is closely related to the relationship between tools, therefore stress analysis in the piping system needs to be considered. In performing stress analysis on a piping system, software can be used. one of them is CAESAR II. CAESAR II is a software based on the finite element method which is widely used in the stress analysis process in pipes that have passed the feasibility test for analyzing stresses in pipes.
