Abstract

This research entitled “The Implementation of The Electronic Ticket Policy in the Ogan Ilir District Police Jurisdiction Area”. The objective of this research was to knowing the implementation of The Electronic Ticket Policy in The Ogan Ilir District Police Jurisdiction Area. The type of research was descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection used observation, interview, and documentation techniques. This research used the theories of policy implementation by Van Metter and Van Horn, where the success of policy implementation was influenced by six dimensions, namely the standard and objective of the policy, resources, characteristics of the implementing agent, attitudes or tendencies of implementers, communication between organization, economic environment, social, and political environment. The results of the research on The Implementation of The Electronic Ticket Policy in The Ogan Ilir District Police Jurisdiction Area have not run optimally due to several dimensions of the Van Metter and Van Horn theory which have not been implemented properly. This is related to the standard and objective of the policy that have not been carried out in accordance with existing standard operation procedure, and the lack of available resources. The results of this study recommend that the implementers of electronic ticket policy implement a policy in accordance with applicable standard operation procedure and additional resources needed to support the implementation of the electronic ticket policy in Ogan Ilir Regency.
