Abstract

Pre-Planned Ethylene Oxide Manufacturing Plant with a capacity of 86,000 tons / year is planned to be established in 2025 in the Cilegon area, Banten. This factory covers an area of ​​12 Ha. The raw materials for making ethylene oxide are oxygen and ethylene. The process for making Ethylene Oxide is based on US Pat. 2019/00777778 A1 with the oxidizing agent process. Ethylene oxide is reacted in the Multitubular Fixed Bed Reactor reactor by reacting ethylene and oxygen to ethylene oxide with a pressure of 25 atm and a temperature of 2200C. The company form that will be used in this factory is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a Line and Staff organizational system, led by a Director with a total of 124 employees. Based on the results of economic analysis, this tetrasodium pyrophosphate factory is feasible to establish because it has met various economic parameter requirements, namely as follows: • Total Capital Investment (TCI) = US $ 183,601,268.26 • Total Sales = US $ 376,125,562.20 • Total Production Cost (TPC) = US $ 552,795,278.80 • Annual Cash Flow = US $ 103,905,193.59 • Pay Out Time = 1.8 years • Rate Of Return On Investment (ROR) = 54% • Break Even Point (BEP) = 26.4364% • Service Life = 11 Years Keywords: Oxygen, Ethylene, Ethylene Oxide, Oxidizing agent, Multitubular fixed bed reactor.
