Abstract

This study aimed to determine the cocoa clone and to get the right NPK dose towards oil palm polyculture system. This research was conducted from December 2019 until May 2020 at oil palm research plantation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, South Sumatra. This research arranged in Randomized Block design Factorial (RBDF) with two factors. The first factor were cocoa clone, consist of A1 = Sulawesi 1, A2 = Sulawesi 2 dan A3 = MCC2. The second factor weredose of NPK fertilizer, consist of B1 = 7,5g /plant, B2 = 15g/plant, B3 = 22,5g/plant dan B4 = 30g/plant. NPK fertilizer application was carried out at two weeks after planting with array system as deep as 2cm and circular on the stem with a distance of 5cm. During the research, the monthly average for the conditions of sunlight intensity were 9854 lux to 13462 lux, temperature were 28°c to 31,9°c, humadity 65% to 80% and also rainfall data were 108,9 mm/month to 399,5 mm/month. The result showed that there were significantly affect between cocoa clone and NPK dose toward the growth parameter which are diameter of stem and plant height. Sulawesi 2 clone werethe best growth compared with Sulawesi 1 also MCC2 clone and dose of NPK fertilizer 22,5g/plant could increasediameter of stem, plant height, total leaves, the large of leaves and greenish leaves. Based on the result of t-test, oil palm polyculture system (total fresh fruit bunch, number of male flower bunch, female flower bunch, number of spear leaves and dry fronds) were not significantly affect on oil palm monoculture.
