Abstract

This research aimed to determine the number of Agricultural equipment and machine needed and the investment costs needed to increase rice production and the investment costs needed to increase rice production in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province.This research was conducted in October 2019 until April 2020 at the Department of Agriculture, Food Crops and Horticulture, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province.This research used descriptive method with presentation in the form of tabulation.The parameters used in this study are the development of the number of agricultural equipment and machinery, the level of sufficient agricultural machinery and investment costs.The results showed the level of adequacy of 2-wheel tractors and rice grinding machines that is 222% and 85% or two-wheel tractors included in the more category. The level of adequacy that is included in the category of less is a 4-wheel traktor, transplanter, combine harvester and vertical dryer, with a percentage of 55.9%, 59%, 55.9% and 30.9% or the amount needed to meet the shortage of the tool that is 15 units, 68 units, 143 units and 103 units.Investment costs to purchase Alsintan namely Transplanter, four-wheeled tractor, power thresher and rice milling unit (RMU) with a total investment cost of Rp.80,668,700,000
