Abstract

The objective of this research was to test the frequency hatched and weight of hatched eggs on fertilization, hatchability and hatched weight of quail. The research was descriptive method by testing tools and literature studies related to the effect of egg weight and egg turnover frequency on egg hatchability on an automatic egg incubator. The parameters observed were the weight of hatched eggs with mild, moderated and severe groups and then the next parameter was frequency of reversal. In this study, the highest percentage of fertility was found in P3 handling (92.67%) and the lowest percentage was found in P1 handling (60.15%). The hatchability of quail eggs at five times a day, the success rate was higher than three times and two times. The highest hatching weight was in handling B3 (9.24 g) and the lowest was in treatment B1 (7.93 g).
