Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Islamic Corporate Governance and Islamic Social Report on banking performance with the Maqashid Index on Sharia General Banks in Indonesia in 2014-2018. This study uses secondary data taken from the Sharia General Bank annual report and is panel data. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach using data analysis techniques namely panel data regression analysis with the Fixed Effect Model method. The results showed that the analysis of the influence of Islamic Corporate Governance and Maqashid Index in this study resulted in a probability of 0.1840>0.10. The Islamic Corporate Governance variable partially had no significant effect on the Maqashid Index. The independent variable of the Islamic Social Report was the variable probability value of 0.0079 < 0.05. The regression coefficient of the Islamic Social Report is positive at 0.126499. It shows that the Islamic Social Report has a positive effect on the Maqashid Index. Islamic Corporate Governance and Islamic Social Report variables have a simultaneous influence on the Maqashid Index with a prob value of 0.000455 ≤ 0.05 obtained a coefficient of determination of 0.569067 which means that the Maqashid Index variable is determined by variables and the Islamic Social Report is 56.90 percent Keywords: Islamic Corporate Governance, Islamic Social Report and Maqashid Index
