Abstract

Along with the development of the age of technology that always appears especially in the field of technology that makes it easy for humans to do their jobs, PT. XYZ did the development to facilitate the work in the field of inspection, July 2019 Sriwijaya University especially the Department of Mechanical Engineering made an innovation to help PT XYZ in developing the field of technology to facilitate the work in conducting inspections. A Risk Based Inspection software application based on API RP 581 called Risk Assessment for Approach of Latest Equipment Conditions (RAFAOLEC) which was successfully created to assist PT XYZ in conducting inspections. This study aims to analyze the calculation features for Pressure Relief Device equipment in software that has been created, this research is in the form of testing to see the error value in the software with the results of manual calculations for each failure calculation, which Pressure Relief Device has four types of failures, and calculations show the difference in results on the value of Probability of Fail to Open, Consequence of Fail to Open, and Probability of Leakage, with error values of (%) 0.1, 0.4, 0.1 while the Consequences of Leakage calculation has similarities to manual calculations and found error values (%) equal to 0. Pressure Relief Device as the object being analyzed found the results of the low category for Probability of fail to open while for the Probability of Leakage and consequence of Leakage Categories. In calculating the software must be checked again coding that is in the software so that it can be minimized the error value in the software
