Abstract

In storing or storing earth's oil, a device called a pressure vessel is needed. Because at the time of petroleum storage it will produce high pressure and temperature. Therefore, it is necessary to have tank 216 which functions as a container for high pressure petroleum. The impact that occurs during the storage will produce stress, strain, and displacement in the pressure vessel. Based on this, to obtain a pressure vessel that can accommodate and store high-pressure fluids such as petroleum and remain safe while operating, a study was conducted on the analysis of stress distribution, strain and displacement in the cylinder pressure vessel 216 tank using autodesk simulation mechanical software. 2016. The steps that must be taken are designing the 216 tank using the 2016 autodesk inventor then inputting material data, pressure, temperature, and cylinder pressure vessel boundary conditions 216. The results of the study using autodec simulation mechanical software 2016 are stress, strain, displacement and area. critical as well as safety factor at working konsi tank 216.
