Abstract

The pre-designed cyclohexanone manufacturing plant with a production capacity of 41,000 tons / year is planned to be established in 2025 in the Gresik area, East Java, which is estimated to have an area of 4 hectares. The raw materials for the manufacture of cyclohexanone are phenol and hydrogen. The process of making cyclohexanone refers to US Patent 2016/0046553 A1, where the process method used is the hydrogenation process between phenol and hydrogen which will produce cyclohexanone at a temperature of 194oC at a pressure of 1.4atm. The reaction takes place in one reactor unit with a mutlitubular fixed bed reactor type with a Palladium-Alumina catalyst.
