Abstract

Farming science is usually defined as the study of how one allocates available resources effectively and efficiently for the purpose of obtaining high profits at a certain time. Department of Horticultural Food and Animal Husbandry (TPHP) of Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. This service (T PHP) functions to carry out the affairs of authority and task of assistance in the field of agriculture in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The Musi Banyuasin Office (TPHP) also usually helps provide farming capital assistance to farmers on a regular basis. There are several obstacles in the process of registration and data processing because the number of farmers applying for venture capital assistance is quite a lot, and the process of capital management assistance for Musi Banyuasin Office is still quite slow, and often there is a mistake between old data and new data that causes errors when determining the assistance period and also often the calculation of criteria weights. Then it is necessary to build a management information system with the waterfall method that can simplify the process of running this farm capital assistance. The results of this study indicate that the existence of a management information system using the waterfall method that was built can help the Musi Banyuasin Office (TPHP) to determine the selection of beneficiaries for farming business capital.
