Abstract

One of the government programs to achieve the 6th Suistanable Development Goals (SDGs) is the Open Defecation free (ODF) program. In 2019, The Ogan Komering Ilir District Public Health Office reported that 74.3% of the community still defecated in the working area of the Awal Terusan Public Health Center. This study aims to assess the implementation of the ODF program. The method used in this assessment was descriptive qualitative based on the CIPP (context, input, process, product) model. The informants in this study were 18 people selected based on the principle of suitability and adequacy (purposive). Data collection was done by in-depth interviews, observations and document review. Validity test was done by using triangulation of sources, theories and methods. Data analysis was carried out by using content analysis. The results showed that in the context component,the economic income of the low community, has the characteristics of territorial waters and hereditary culture of open defecation habits that have an impact on program implementation. Input component was in a accordance with the standarts used for the implementation of the program at the public health center level. In process components, in the post-triggering period, the public health center staff did not regularly monitor and supervise the community. The product component has not yet achieved the expected results, namely 74,3% of the public who still Open Defecation (OD). To be suggested for the Awal Terusan Public Health Center are to monitor and supervise the compliance of the community who participate in triggering activities.
