Abstract

The Implementation of Internet Of Things uses the Message Queue Telemetry protocol to monitor the use of electrical energy in classrooms by controlling electronic equipment through publish/subscribe a topic used as controlling electrical equipment and knowing the condition of the room. Using the SCT-013-030 sensor, the condition of an equipment can be known by detecting whether the current flows on the equipment, as a control to automatically turn off the equipment the PIR sensor is used to detect movement in the room as an indication to the system whether the room is in use or not, with an average Throughput to publish the topic of 1648.31 bytes/s, Packet Loss 0%, delay of 0.05 ms/packet indicates that the use of the MQTT protocol as monitoring the use of electrical energy can be used, due to the lightweight MQTT which makes it work properly even though the connection conditions at the time of monitoring are quite inadequate.
