Abstract

Nutritional status is currently an important issue in the world, including in Indonesia. The problem of malnutrition is still a major problem in Indonesia. Teenage girls are the generation that will give birth to the next generation. Fulfilling the need for balanced nutrition in teenage girls needs attention because at this time there is an increase in nutritional needs to support their growth and development. If the habit of consuming inappropriate foods in teenage girls is continued and not immediately addressed, it will have an impact on the health of themselves and future generations.Lack of information regarding the fulfillment of balanced nutrition in teenage girls is one of the causes of malnutrition. One effort that can be done is to conduct health education through a brozsing simulation game for teenage girls. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the brozsing simulation game on knowledge and attitudes in fulfilling balanced nutrition in teenage girls at MAN 1 Ogan Ilir. The research design was pre-experimental with one group pretest and posttest design. The sample in this study were 55 people who were collected using cluster sampling.Data were analyzed by univariate analysis to determine the knowledge and attitudes of teenage girls before and after health education, while bivariate analysis was used to determine differences in knowledge and attitudes of teenage girls before and after health education. The results of the knowledge analysis using the Marginal Homogenity test showed that there were significant differences in the knowledge of teenage girls in MAN 1 Ogan Ilir before and after health education with a p value of 0.000 (p value <0.05). The results of the analysis using McNemar showed that there were significant differences in the attitudes of young women in MAN 1 Ogan Ilir before and after health education with a p value of 0.000 (p value <0.05). Health education through the brozsing simulation game for teenagers is recommended as a method in health education in order to change knowledge and attitudes among teenage girls.
