Abstract

At present, vehicles are no longer a primary need for some people, but most vehicles are basic necessities as a means of facilitating daily activities. A car is an example of a vehicle that is very much needed, a vehicle that is very useful with more than one passenger capacity, therefore cars are in great demand as private and public vehicles. The more people buy cars, the more used cars that are unused but still worth using. So the author makes a web-based used car buying and selling application system to make it easier for buyers to look for used cars they want. The method used is Waterfall. Tools used to assist in the needs analysis process, namely 5W + 1H analysis, UML 2.0 diagram at the specification stage, and the CodeIgneter framework, at the programming stage. For the testing phase using the black box testing method. The results obtained from this study are the application of web-based used car buying and selling that can be used on mobile devices. The system that has been designed is useful and becomes a media for buying used cars for the general public.
