Abstract

This study aims to look for changes in the state of the ground water level (GWL) time function on peatlands in south Sumatra and look for the significance of the correlation of GWL with soil moisture (SM). This research was conducted in the OKI area, namely the Air Rumbai and Kedaton areas and the Musi Banyuasin area namely Muara Medak 1 and Muara Medak 2 area based on measurements from the peat restoration agency (BRG). The data period for one year starting from October 1st, 2018 until December 1st, 2019. To find changes in the GWL condition of time function using harmonic analysis calculations and looking for the significance of the correlation of GWL with SM using statistical analysis calculation. The result of this study was the result of the minimum and maximum change in conditions of time function and the correlation between GWL and SM at four location indicated the significance correlation.
