Abstract

Kemampuan Aeromonas jandaei dalam mendekolorisasi zat warna direct red-81 dan limbah cair zat warna direct red-81 pada industri tekstil kain jumputan di Palembang belum diketahui dan dapat diuji secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif menggunakan KLT dan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Penentuan kondisi optimum Aeromonas jandaei dalam dekolorisasi dilakukan dengan lima variabel keadaan yaitu perlakuan pengocokan, konsentrasi zat warna direct red-81, pH media tumbuh bakteri, suhu inkubasi dan waktu inkubasi. Kondisi optimum Aeromonas jandaei dalam mendekolorisasi zat warna direct red-81 adalah tanpa pengocokan, pada konsentrasi 80 mg/L, pH 7, suhu inkubasi 37°C selama 24 jam dengan persen dekolorisasi sebesar 88,53%. Kondisi optimum yang didapatkan, selanjutnya digunakan pada dekolorisasi limbah cair direct red-81 oleh Aeromonas jandaei dengan hasil persen dekolorisasi sebesar 88,69%. Analisis biodegradasi dilakukan menggunakan KLT dan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil analisis menggunakan KLT dan spektrofotometer UV-Vis menunjukkan bahwa terjadi degradasi dalam dekolorisasi direct red-81 oleh Aeromonas jandaei.
