Abstract

PT Tritama Niaga Berjaya is one of the mining contracting companies that works on a contracts with PT Bumi Merapi Energi in Lahat Regency, South Sumatra. The hills Lahat topography makes the road grade and hauling distance large. The older the mine age, the greater the distance and grade of the mine road. So Fuel consumption on the conveyance is less than optimal. In this research carried out repairs the grade of haul roads that standard grade 8%. Transport routes that have a grade greater than 8% are found in the loading point A - dumping point in A-B segment with a grade of 10% and B-C segment with grade 14%, while the loading point B - dumping point found in the A-B segment with a grade of 11% and the B-C segment with a grade of 14%. The highest fuel consumption is in the loading point A – dumping point of 35.44 liters at a distance of 548 meters with the productivity of the conveyance of 53,75 bcm/hour and fuel ratio of 0,66 liter/bcm. Whereas on the loading point B – dumping point at a distance of 726 meters with fuel consumption of 30.57 liters the productivity of the conveyance is 57.34 bcm/hour and fuel ratio of 0,53 liter/bcm. After repairing the grade of the road on the loading point A – dumping point in segments A-B and B-C segments at 8% grade, the productivity of the hauling is 76.47 bcm/hour with a fuel ratio of 0.46 liter/bcm. Whereas in the loading point B – dumping point after being repaired grade in the A-B and B-C segments at 8%, hauling productivity became 73,34 bcm/hour with a fuel ratio of 0.42 liters/bcm.
