Abstract

This thesis entitled The Role of Subur Tani Farmer Groups in Increasing Farm Productivity in Payabakal Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. productivity in Payabakal Village. This study used a qualitative approach, described descriptively with primary data sources obtained from direct observation and secondary data from published data collectors. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The informant selection technique used was purposive, the research informants were 7 people. The validity of the data in this study used triangulation of sources, triangulation of techniques, and triangulation of time. The results of this study indicate that the farming productivity in Payabakal Village cannot be separated because of the role of the Subur Tani group. The Study Class conducted by the Subur Tani group has an impact on the broader knowledge and knowledge of the farmers and makes production more maximized. The Forum for Cooperation and the production unit that is carried out can also enable farmers to maximize their time, energy, and available resources in order to minimize all risks to get maximum results. The obstacles faced in the role of this farmer group are the schedule of activities that often coincide with other social activities as well as the work discipline of farmers who are still lacking when they own two gardens at once.
