Abstract

The objectives of this study is to produce Adobe Flash-based learning media products in Engineering Measurement Subjects in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program of Sriwijaya University which are valid and practical. This type of this research were used development research and the model used is the Luther model with 6 stages: concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution. The participant of this study were students of Mechanical Engineering Education class of 2017. The techniques used to collection the data were interview sheets, questionnaires and formative evaluations namely alpha test and beta test. Alpha test is material expert validation and media expert validation, then beta test is there are 3 stages, namely One to One, Small Group, and Field Test which are assessed by the user. One to One instruments are in the form of interview sheets which users evaluate to provide comments when there are deficiencies. In the alpha test or expert validation, the average value was 4.28, while the media expert validation obtained a mean value of 3.68 through a validation questionnaire to determine the validity of the product. Furthermore, the beta test to determine the validity of the media used a questionnaire, which is used is a small group trial that found the average value of 4.24 and the field trial found the average value is 4.28. It can be concluded that interactive multimedia in the subject of measurement techniques is declared valid and also practical.
