Abstract

Daerah penelitian berada di Gunung Geblegan dan Pondokrasa, Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten. Lokasi tersebut memiliki potensi batuan andesit sebagai bahan pondasi bangunan. Studi khusus ini ditujukan untuk menjelaskan kaulitas andesit berdasarkan metode kuat tekan UCS (Uniaxial compressive strength) dan petrografi. Nilai kuat tekan batuan berbanding lurus dengan analisis petrografi batuan. Titik pengambilan sampel berada pada 6 lokasi. Area lokasi Gunung Geblegan ditandai dengan kode sampel LP 1 dan LP 3 sedangkan Daerah Pondokrasa dengan kode sampel LP 6, LP 7, LP 8, dan LP 13. Berikut hasil nilai kuat tekan setiap sampel: LP 1 (185,97 Mpa); Kode sampel LP 3 (113,74 Mpa); LP 6 (22,91 Mpa); LP 7 123,14 Mpa; LP 8 (139,83 Mpa) dan LP 13 (168,16 Mpa). Derajat pelapukan yang tinggi akan membentuk resistensi mineral yang rendah, sehingga nilai kuat tekan akan semakin rendah. Gunung Geblegan mempunyai kualitas yang lebih berpotensi daripada Daerah Pondokrasa. Berdasarkan (SNI 030394-1989) andesit pada daerah observasi dapat digunakan untuk bahan pondasi bangunan dan batu hias. Kata Kunci: Andesit, Kualitas andesit, Uniaxial compressive strength, Petrografi, Agregat pondasi. ABSTRACT ABSTRACT: The research area is located in Mount Geblegan and Pondokrasa, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. The location has the potential of andesite rocks as the foundation material of the building. This particular study is intended to explain andesite caulity based on the powerful methods of press UCS (Uniaxial compressive strength) and petrography. The strong value of the rock press is directly proportional to the analysis of rock petrography. Sampling points are located in 6 locations. The area of Gunung Geblegan location is marked with sample codes LP 1 and LP 3 while Pondokrasa Area with sample codes LP 6, LP 7, LP 8, and LP 13. Here's the result of a strong value press each sample: LP 1 (185.97 Mpa); Sample code LP 3 (113.74 Mpa); LP 6 (22.91 Mpa); LP 7 123.14 Mpa; LP 8 (139.83 Mpa) and LP 13 (168.16 Mpa). A high degree of weathering will form low mineral resistance, so the strong value of the press will be lower. Mount Geblegan has more potential quality than Pondokrasa Area. Based on (SNI 030394-1989) andesite in the observation area can be used for building foundation materials and decorative stones.
