Abstract

Research has been successfully carried out related to the design of a device for detecting heart rate based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller which is connected to a pulse heart rate sensor as an analog to digital data converter. The purpose of the design of this tool is to detect the number of heart beats per minute (BPM) in humans based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller using a pulse heart rate sensor whose measurement values will be displayed on a 16x2 LCD. The design of this tool can calculate the number of heart beats per minute across the fingers and can detect the heart rate in humans who are overweight, ideal or underweight. The test results show that the design of this tool can measure heart rate per minute (BPM) with an average accuracy rate of 82.9885% and has an average precision value of 86.9724%.
