Abstract

This Research will look the effect of Rake Angle to tools stress on Titanium Turning Process with SCCO2 Coolant Using FEM in Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2016 software. The summary of the analysis in this study will compare the summary from simulation using Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2016 Software with the summarys from Journal as a reference. From the theoretical calculation, Rake Angle increases the Cutting Force will be smaller where the Cut force (Fc) is 1589 N for Rake Angle (γ) 10 ° and 1520 N for Angle Angle (γ) 15 °. Based on the simulated summary obtained tools stress during turning Ti-6Al-4V with SCCO2 Coolant, 1 mm depth of cut using Carbida tools, a maximum stress is 1128.193 N/mm2 for Rake Angle (γ) 10 ° and 1228.36 N/mm2 for Rake Angle (γ) 15 °. There is an increase stress for each Rake Angle (γ). Comparison of the difference of the simulation program has a difference that is not too far, it can be stated that the method used has the accuracy of the appropriate.
