Abstract

This study examines "Social Interaction of Terasi Industry Businessmen in Production and Marketing Processes (Study in Tulung Selapan Village, Tulung Selapan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Selatan Sumaterasi Regency)". The problem in this research is about the form of social interaction of business actors in the production process and the form of social interaction of business actors in the marketing process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, the determination of informants is puposive. Data collection techniques for in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that in the shrimp paste production process, business actors collaborate with workers when making shrimp paste and only occasionally help in the washing and grinding of shrimp. Business actors have a subscription in supplying raw materials so that there is cooperation in the buying and selling process of rebon shrimp and consumers who usually buy shrimp paste at home are close neighbors and those who buy it mostly are unknown. In the marketing process the business actor cooperates with the workers in guarding the sales stalls and the business actor also cooperates with collectors in the process of buying and selling shrimp paste and the business actors also contribute to serving consumers who buy terasi in the shanties. Workers with business actors have close neighbor relations and cooperate with each other in safeguarding shanties, collectors also have cooperative relationships with business actors and during the buying and selling process, shrimp paste has never occurred or disagreements in talking about cooperation and consumers like the services of business actors because they serve friendly and cheap smile.
