Abstract

The title of this study was "The Influence of the Means Ends Analysis Learning Model towards Students’ Learning Outcomes in History Subject of XI Classes at SMA Negeri 1 South Indralaya". The type of research that was used in this research was experimental research. The problem of study in this thesis was whether there was an influence of the Means Ends Analysis learning model towards students’ learning outcomes in history subject of XI classes at SMA Negeri 1 South Indralaya. While the purpose of this study was to know whether there was an influence of the Means Ends Analysis learning model towards students’ learning outcomes in history subjects of XI classes at SMA Negeri 1 South Indralaya. The sample which was utilized in this study consisted of two classes, namely XI Social 1 class as an experimental class and XI Social 2 class as a control class. The population in this study was XI graders of SMA Negeri 1 South Indralaya. The determination of the sample of this study was using Random Sampling technique. The data collection techniques in this study used tests or questions. The techniques of data analysis which were used in this study were data normality test, data homogeneity test, and t-test with a significant level tvalue > ttable with a real level (α = 0,05). Based on the results of data analysis of the problem in this study, the results obtained were tvalue= 2,94 while to count ttabel, db = n1+n2-2 = 30+30-2 = 58 and consulted to table t obtained 2.00172. So, based on the results of data analysis, obtained tvalue > ttable, that was 2,94 > 2,00172, thus Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Therefore, it could be concluded that Means Ends Analysis learning model had an influence towards students’ learning outcomes in History Subject of XI classes at SMA Negeri 1 South Indralaya.
