Abstract

PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk is engaged in mining which produces limestone as the main raw material for cement, located in Pusar Village, East Baturaja District, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra Province. PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk increased annual limestone production to 3.4 million tons / year, resulting in the company expanding its mining location by opening a new pit in the Pelawi Village area of Kec. West Baturaja, which is named the Baturaja-II mine with a production target of 1,140,000 tons / year. The purpose of this study is to determine the mine pit design plan based on the topographical conditions in the Baturaja-II Pit, productivity and plan for the need for loading and transporting digits as well as the factors that affect the productivity of the digging and loading equipment in order to achieve production targets. The pit design plan at the Baturaja-II mine was designed based on topographic conditions adjusted to the first year target of 1,140,000 tons / year, by correlating and considering the topographic map of the study area, exploration area drill data for the study area, and slope geotechnical data recommended by company. The productivity of the Caterpillar 320 Excavators is 139.23 tons / hour. While the productivity of the Nissan Quester CWE 280 Dumptruck is 41.55 tons / hour. The number of planned hauling needs based on the first year limestone production target of 1,140,000 tons / year and the productivity of the loading and hauling equipment at the Baturaja-II mine is that the Nissan Quester CWE 280 dumptruck needs as many as 5 units and the Caterpillar 320 excavator needs are 2 the unit. Tool productivity is influenced by the following factors, material factors, work efficiency, and cycle time.
