Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to describe the ability of understanding students' mathematical concepts using the Reciprocal Teaching model approach to line and angle material. The subjects of this study were the seventh grade students of SMP in Palembang in the 2019/2020 school year, totaling 15 students. The learning process used is to use online learning online that is adapted to the stages of Reciprocal Teaching. The data collection technique used is a written test consisting of 5 questions, then supported by observation of student activities to obtain additional data. Based on the results of the study obtained the results of students' mathematical concept understanding ability using the Reciprocal Teaching model approach to lines and angles material in 15 VII grade students in Palembang City categorized well with details: the percentage of students who have the ability to understand mathematical concepts with excellent categories is 40%. And the average percentage of students' mathematical concept understanding ability test data of 78.86% is included in both categories.
