Abstract

This research was conducted to evaluate the growth and yield of shallot plant of Bima Brebes variety under various dosages of N fertilizer. Research conducted in experimental farm of Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University from February until May 2019. Bima Brebes variety was yield in this research. Planting media was used as the treatment consisted of No = l 00% Soil ( control), N1 = 200 kg urea ha-1 (0.46 g N per plant), N2 = 250 kg urea ha-1 (0.575 g N per plant), N3 = 300 kg urea ha-1 (0.69 g N per plant), N4 = 350 kg urea ha-1 (0.805 g N per Plant). The observed parameters included plant height, leaf number, tiller number, bulb diameter, bulb fresh weight, dry weight, net assimilation rate and relative growth rate. Research treatment had very significant effect on tiller number at second, fourth, and fifth week. While it had no significant effect on plant height, leaf number, tiller number (at thirtd, sixth, seventh, and eight week), bulb diameter, bulb fresh weigh, bulb dry weigh, net assimilationiate and relative growth rate. It was also resulted that 300 kg urea ha-1 could increase tiller number.
