Abstract

The objective of this study was to know the effects of organic fertilizer and organic substance from bean extract on the growth and yield of shallot. The research was conducted from November 2017 until January 2018 at experimental station of Agricultural Faculty, Sriwijaya University. The design used was randomized complete block design with 8 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were P 1 : 500 g chicken manure/plant, P2 : 1000 g chicken manure/plant, P3 : 500 g chicken manure/plant+ 50 g r1 bean sprout extract, P4 : 500 g chicken manure/plant + 100 g r1 bean sprout extract, P5 : 500 g chicken manure/plant+ 150 gr bean sprout extract, P6 : 1000 g chicken manure/plant+ 50 g r1 bean sprout extract, P7 : 1000 g chicken manure/plant + 100 g r1 bean sprout extract, Ps : 1000 g chicken manure/plant+ 150 g r1 bean srrout extract. The results showed that P6 (1000 g chicken manure/plant+ 50 gr bean sprout extract) was tended to be better than other treatments on the variables of tiller number per clump, bulb number per clump, and bulb dry weight per clump. The results analysis of coefficient correlation showed that number of leaves to number of tillers and bulb fresh weight, number of tillers to number of bulb, number of bulb to bulb fresh weight and bulb dry weight, bulb fresh weight to bulb dry weight positively correlated
