Abstract

Jahe merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman tradisional yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengendalikan penyakit Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) yang menyerang budidaya ikan patin (Pangasius sp). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tepung jahe yang ditambahkan pada pakan untuk mengobati infeksi A. hydrophila pada ikan patin. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Budidaya Perairan, Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya pada bulan Oktober 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri atas 6 perlakuan (P) dengan 3 ulangan yaitu (P0) tanpa penambahan tepung jahe, (P1) penambahan tepung jahe 10 g.kg-1, (P2) penambahan tepung jahe 12,5 g.kg-1, (P3) penambahan tepung jahe 15 g.kg-1, (P4) penambahan tepung jahe 17,5 g.kg-1 dan (P5) penambahan tepung jahe 20 g.kg-1. Parameter yang diamati yaitu pertumbuhan panjang dan berat, total eritrosit, total leukosit, kelangsungan hidup larva, fisika dan kimia air (suhu, pH, DO dan ammonia). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengobatan terbaik terdapat pada (P5) dengan pertumbuhan bobot mutlak 3,13 gram, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 1,09 cm, kelangsungan hidup 90,00%. Selama pemeliharaan kualitas air berada pada kondisi 27-29 0C untuk suhu, pH air 6-7, oksigen terlarut 5,00 mg.L-1, dan amonia 0.005-0.040 mg.L-1. Kata kunci : A. hydrophila, ikan patin, jahe, minyak atsiri.
