Abstract

Serat nano polyvinylpirolidone/selulosa acetate yang mengandung ekstrak aloevera telah berhasil disintesis melalui pemintalan elektrik (electrospinning). Serat nano polyvinylpirolidone/selulosa acetate yang mengandung ekstrak aloevera dibuat dengan perbandingan antara polimer dan ekstrak sebesar 5:3. Serat nano tersebut kemudian dikarakterisasi meliputi morfologi, struktur kristal, gugus fungsi dan kuat tarik. Hasil morfologi serat menunjukkan bahwa serat berbentuk sedikit kasar dan elastis serta memiliki diameter rata-rata serat sebesar 1115 nm. Penambahan ekstrak aloevera menyebabkan ukuran diameter serat mengecil. Hasil analisis XRD mengindikasikan bahwa serat PVP/CA/EA memiliki fase semikristal. Analisis FTIR menunjukkan bahwa PVP/CA dan ekstrak aloevera mengalami interaksi molekul dalam bentuk ikatan hidrogen dan hasil uji tarik menunjukkan bahwa serat PVP/CA/EA memiliki kuat tarik yang baik serta modulus elastisitas yang baik untuk diaplikasikan sebagai pembalut luka.
