Abstract

In endocrine system, thyroid cancer is the most frequent cases with 89% of all endocrine Thyroid cancer at first ranks malignant of the thyroid gland. Based on histopathological,thyroid cancers has 4 types,papillary thyroid cancer (80%),follicular (10-15%),medullary (5%),and anaplastic (2-3%). This type of research is observasional descriptive with cross-sectional study,using medical records in RSUP Dr.Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. A total of 95 thyroid cancer patients in 2019. According to sociodemographics, most prevalent (32.6%) are in the age group 48-56 years, majority (82.1%) female and (85.3%) location in lowlands area. The majority of the main complaints (87.4%) obtained a lump on the neck. The histological variant of papillary thyroid cancer was the most frequent (88.4%), stage I (68.4%). The majority (78.9%) of the patients had no prior ailment. There was a family history (1.1%) in medullary thyroid cancer and all of patients did not have radiation exposure. Most common (54.7%) surgical procedure is total thyroidectomy. Thyroid cancer are commonly in age group of 48-56 years and women be located in lowland regions. According to clinical and history of patients with thyroid cancer have similar to previous studies.
