Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts of the government and the community in maintaining Rumah Baba Ong Boen Tjit in Kelurahan ¾ Ulu Palembang. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were five people. Documentation, interviews, and observation were used in collecting the data. The validity test of the data used included the credibility, transferability, and dependability tests. In analyzing the data, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion were used. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the efforts made by the government and the community in maintaining Rumah Baba Ong Boen Tjit can be seen that there were three efforts that had been implemented, they were creating interest in culture, cultural learning and developing an understanding of the culture.
