Abstract
The electric motor is expected to have good characteristics and efficiency. One way for an electric motor to have good and efficient characteristics is by modifying some parts of the electric motor either on the stator or rotor. The modification method used is to change the angle of the direct current motor anchor groove which originally has an angle of 90°(straight) then modified the inclined groove to be angles 25 and 45 ° to the right. This test is carried out with the condition of the direct current motor without load. In this test, it will be seen how the effect of the tilt of the direct current motor anchor groove with the normal direct current motor as a reference. The results of testing the modification of the unidirectional flow motor for speed (RPM) and torque obtained at a maximum voltage of 12 volts are for° direct current motor under normal conditions get an RPM of 1754 and torque of 0.00980 Nm while for direct current motors with modified conditions of 25 tilt angle° get an RPM of 2360 and a torque of 0.0145 Nm and for a motorbike to modify the groove 45°get an RPM of 2925 and for torque of 0.0192 Nm. From the results of this study it can be seen that for modification 45°have the highest RPM and Torque values, while normal motor conditions have the lowest RPM and Torque values. It can be concluded that the greater the slope of the given anchor groove angle, the greater the RPM and torque produced.
