Abstract

High number need of electricity consumption of KPA Building Sriwijaya University, Campus Indralaya, it cause monthly bill goes high too. We need to solve it, without lowered the number of electricity consumption of KPA building. According to vanshdeep parmar’s thesis, if assumed PV solar power plant has 25 year life time, the investment will meet BEP at 13th year, so we have 12 year free energy use. One piece of solar pv panel (Polycrystalline) can produce 7,971 kWh per year for Ogan Ilir state. After the planning done, we concluded, the solar power plant can produce 10 percent need demand of electricity for KPA building, the solar power plant must have the following component, 300 pieces of solar pv panel (polycrystalline) the capacity was 100 wp per panel, so the total capacity of power plant was 30 kWp, one grid-tied solar inverter, the capacity was 40 kWp, one set combiner box, one set AC breaker panels. And we estimated, economic benefit for the use of this power plant, we reduced monthly electricity bill with Rp. 1.752.910 per month, for 25 years use of solar power plant, with net profit was Rp.621.660/month, for 25 years.
