Abstract

Latar Belakang: Benda asing hidung adalah salah satu kasus yang sering ditemukan pada anak-anak. Kasus benda asing hidung umumnya ditemukan pada anak usia 2-5 tahun dan kasus ini juga lebih sering ditemukan pada anak laki-laki. Kasus benda asing hidung lebih sering ditemukan pada lubang hidung kanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik pasien benda asing hidung pada anak yang datang ke IGD RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan studi deskriptif dengan desain survei. Data penelitian diambil dari rekam medis pasien benda asing hidung. Didapatkan total 222 pasien Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis univariat. Hasil: Prevalensi kasus benda asing hidung di RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang adalah sebesar 1,10%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dari 222 pasien benda asing hidung, 33,3% pasien berusia 3 tahun dengan 52,3% adalah pasien laki-laki. Benda asing berupa manik-manik ditemukan pada 31,5% pasien. Benda asing ditemukan pada lubang hidung kanan pada 58,9% pasien. Komplikasi berupa perdarahan ditemukan pada 6,3% pasien. Kesimpulan: Pasien benda asing hidung terbanyak ditemukan pada anak laki-laki berusia 3 tahun. Benda asing hidung paling banyak berupa manik-manik. Benda asing hidung paling banyak tersangkut pada lubang hidung kanan. Komplikasi tersering ditemukan pada pasien benda asing hidung adalah perdarahan.
