Abstract

Face detection is widely used to help various human needs, this is because faces can provide information related to identification or personal data. Face recognition can be started by detecting faces first. Many factors, such as the position of the face on the camera, the distance of the face, and the level of light, can affect the process of face recognition. The Local Binary Pattern (LBPH) algorithm is one of the most effective methods for facial recognition. A mobile robot designed is expected to function to be able to move to follow a recognized face. To implement face detection and facial recognition on mobile robots, the Raspberry Pi is used as a mini-computer. and Arduino as a robot motion controller.
