Abstract

Caesarean section is a medical procedure needed to assist with childbirth that cannot be done vaginally due to maternal health problems or fetal conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of patients with Caesarean Section action at Dr. Mohammad Hosein Palembang in 2019. This research is a quantitative study with a descriptive-observational design. The sampling technique was carried out by simple random sampling technique as much as 291 medical records of patients with obstetrics and gynecology who were performed by the Sesarea Section at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hosein Palembang in 2019. The data analysis technique used was univariate analysis. The incidence rate of the Caesarean section was 867 cases and the prevalence of the Caesarean section in Dr. Mohammad Hosein in 2019 is 57.80%. Characteristics of the patients obtained were the majority of patients, as many as 194 patients were not working (66.7%), 271 patients (93.1%) had health insurance cards, as many as 221 patients (75.9%) lived in Palembang city, age mothers who gave birth at the age of 20-35 years were 204 patients (70.1%), maternal height> 145 cm there were 282 patients (96.9%), patients with Multipara were 169 patients (58.1%), Gestational age Patients at delivery with Aterm age were 82 patients (28.2%), patients with a single fetus were 278 patients (95.5%), and 291 patients (100%) had complications in pregnancy. Most complications in pregnancy were severe preeclampsia as many as 108 patients (37.1%), maternal condition 27 patients (9.3%) had postpartum complications. Most postpartum complications were hypovolemic shock in 11 patients (3.8%).
