Abstract
In its development, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sriwijaya University, has collaborated with PT Pupuk Sriwijadjaja Palembang in making a software Risk Assessment for Approach of Latest Equipment Condition (RAFAOLEC) using the API 580/581 Risk Based Inspection method as a reference in conducting inspections in the industry. As one of the newly created software, it is certainly not without shortcomings. This study aims to compare the RAFAOLEC software with the manual calculation of the Risk Based Inspection API 580/581 in order to ensure that the software is in accordance with the results of the manual count and to schedule inspections of the components tested on the piping system. In this study, the component tested was the SG-1027 pipe located at factory 1B. The results of this study are on software and manual testing that has been carried out, based on the area category, namely High and the financial category High. Planning an inspection schedule that can be done is by checking the SG-1027 pipe every 1 month, checking with an explosimeter, conducting a clamp and injecting the leak sealing then to make it safer to steam all the time to release explosive H2 gas leaking from the SCC pipe.
