Abstract

This study aims to know about relationship of total and standard legth on body weight and condition factors of snake head fish (Channa striata Bloch) from two waters in the Musi Banyuasin district. This research use descriptive method. The sampling technique is done by the roaming method in two waters areas, namely Ulak Lia and Siarak Lake which is 26 km away. The environmental data is measured at the time of specimen collection. The results of this study show that the relationship between total and standard length on weight in both waters is the same (X2 = 0.2244 and 0.1128). The growth pattern in cork fish is positive allometry that is for total length and standard length in both waters. The condition factor for the two waters has the same tendency, namely the less flat shape (P> 1) in both waters. The results of this study is contributed for Learning Biology-Biodiversity material of high school as student worksheets. The student worksheet was validated by two experts with moderate validation values (kappa covariance index 0.41).
