Abstract

Kata Kunci : Klorofil-a, Perairan Selat Bangka, SPL, ZPPI The fisheries sector in the waters of Bangka strait has a large impact on fisheries, so information on fishing areas is needed to help fishermen on fishing. Encountering sea surface temperature (SST) and an optimal concentration of chlorophyil-a can be used as a reference to determine fishing grounds. The purposes of the study analyze SST and concentration of chlorophyil-a for mapping of the potential zone of fishing (zppi) in the waters of Bangka strait using remote sensing technology and geographic information systems (GIS). Analyzing distribution patterns and utilization of ZPPI maps seasonally for 3 years (2017-2019) in the waters of Bangka strait. The study was carried out on October 24-28, 2020. ZPPI identification is done with overlay data SPL and chlorophyil-a based on data processing of image. The results of sea surface temperature and concentration of chlorophyil-a analysis. The distribution patterns of zppi in the waters of Bangka strait were the most dominant in the fishing area of banyusasin district. The distribution patterns of zppi in the eastern season (JJA) and transition II (SON) had the same pattern and tended to dominate coastal areas while the distribution patterns of zppi in the western season (DJF) and transition I (MAM) spread throughout in the waters of the Bangka strait. The highest zppi points in the transitional season I (MAM) were amount 592 points so that could be used by fishermen for fishing grounds. The lowest zppi points in the transitional season II (SON) were amount 219 points so that could be used as feeding ground areas for breed. Keywords: bangka strait waters, chlorophyl-a, SPL, ZPPI
