Abstract

This study aims to be able to see the effect of chancellus morphology on the fds skafold model on the relationship between fluid flow and shear stress. In this research, simulation will be carried out on the FDS skafold model with two types of fluids, namely bone marrow and SBF. For the flowing flow rate, three fluid flow velocities are set, namely 0.8 ml / minute, 0.4 ml / minute and 0.025 ml / minute. The dimensions of the skafold to be simulated are 9x9x12 mm, with a different porosity in each layer, namely in the first layer the porosity is 71%, in the second layer the porosity is 76%, in the third layer 80%, and in the fourth layer 82%. The porosity value of each of these was taken based on the reconstructed cancellous bone using the MIMICS Reaserch application. In this study, skafold is simulated with the COMSOL 5.4 application so that the values in the form of shear stress, viscosity, and permeability will be compared for each flow rate.
