Abstract

Abstract This research aims was to determine the degradation pattern of Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF) three swamp grass on fistulated swamp Buffalo. This research was conducted from February to June 2020 in the Laboratory and Experimental Stables of the Animal Husbandry Departement, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments (Sendayan (Rhynchospora corymbosa), Purun Tikus (Eleocharis dulcis), Bento Rayap (Leersia hexandra)) and 3 replication. Degradation measured using the technique in sacco. The measured variable was the percentage loss of Neutral Detergent Fiber to calculate the fraction of a, b, c and 48 hour. To calculate the degradation of feed at a time "t" was used exponential equation P = a + b (1-exp-ct). The results showed that the NDF rate degradation pattern was not different (P>0.05) against the sendayan grass and bento rayap grass. The conclusion of this study showed that the NDF degradation pattern in purun tikus grass shows the best degradation pattern compared to sendayan grass and bento grass grass with the degradation pattern of each of these values. The highest rate of NDF degradation in 48 hours was purun tikus grass. Keywords: degradation pattern, neutral detergent fiber, pampangan swamp buffalo and In Sacco. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola degradasi Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF) tiga rumput rawa pada kerbau rawa pampangan berfistula dengan teknik in sacco. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Februari sampai Juni 2020 di Laboratorium dan Kandang Percobaan Program Studi Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. Ternak yang digunakan adalah seekor kerbau rawa Pampangan betina berfistula. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan (Sendayan (Rhynchospora corymbosa), Purun Tikus (Eleocharis dulcis), Bento Rayap (Leersia hexandra)) dan 3 ulangan. Degradasi diukur dengan menggunakan teknik in sacco.Variabel yang diukur adalah persentase kehilangan Neutral Detergent Fiber untuk menghitung fraksi a, b, c dan pola degradasi NDF 48 jam. Untuk menghitung degradasi pakan pada waktu “t” digunakan persamaan eksponensial P = a + b (1-exp-ct). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pola degradasi NDF rumput purun tikus tidak berbeda (P>0.05) terhadap rumput sendayan dan rumput bento rayap. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola degradasi NDF pada rumput purun tikus menunjukkan pola degradasi terbaik dibandingkan dengan rumput sendayan dan rumput bento rayap dengan pola degradasi pola degradasi NDF 48 jam (65.18%) dan laju degradasi NDF 48 jam terbaik adalah rumput purun tikus.
