Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the difference between the students' learning motivation usingJCooperative learningJmodel of StudentJFacilitator andJExplaining type andJArticulation type in PPKn subjects class XI of SMA Negeri 2 Muara-Enim. In this study, the writer used a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The population of this study wasall students of class XI in SMA Negeri 2 Muara Enim totaling 275 students. Sampling was done by Purposive sampling obtained were class XI IPS D consisted of 27 students and class XI IPS C consisted of 29 students. Data collection techniques used in this study were documentation and observation techniques, while data analysis was using t-test. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that there was a significant difference between students' motivation using Cooperative learning model of Student Facilitator and Explaining type and Articulation type on PPKn subjects in the class XI in SMA N 2 Muara Enim. This can be seen from the average value for the XII IPS D research class using StudentJFacilitator andJExplaining cooperative type models with an average score of 83 with a very good category when compared to the XII IPS C research class using the articulation type cooperative model to get an average value of 78 with good category. It is Proved From the results of the analysis of hypothesis test data obtained from the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) from the results of the analysis data of hypothesis test obtained from the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) from the results of the Mann Whitney U test is 0.011 which means the value of Sig (2-tailed) < ὰ .05, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
