Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulated learning and academic stress in class XI students at SMA Negeri 22 Palembang who apply the full day school system. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a relationship between self-regulated learning and academic stress in students of SMA Negeri 22 Palembang with the full day school system. Participants in this study were 393 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 22 Palembang. This study uses two scales as a measuring tool, namely the self-regulated learning scale which refers to the concept of Zimmerman (1990) and the academic stress scale which refers to the reaction to stress from Olejnik and Holschuh (2016). The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between self-regulated learning and academic stress in class XI students at SMA Negeri 22 Palembang who implemented a full day school system with a value of r = -0.519 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05). These results indicate that there is a negative and significant relationship between self-regulated learning and academic stress. Therefore, the hypothesis in this study can be accepted.
